Nevada State Cruises to 59-0 Win Over La Sierra

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Nevada State put together a dominant performance on both sides of the ball Thursday night, rolling to a 59-0 victory over La Sierra. 

The Scorpions scored in every quarter and never let up, building a 34-0 halftime lead behind an explosive offensive showing and a relentless defense.

Kaylie Phillips led the way with a standout performance, throwing for 282 yards and six touchdowns while adding 135 rushing yards and two scores on the ground. 

In the passing game, Brooklin Hill recorded 94 yards and two touchdowns, while Soriah Tafua added two receiving scores of her own. 

Defensively, Nevada State controlled the game from start to finish, forcing three interceptions and holding La Sierra to just 189 total yards. Jasmine Johnson highlighted the effort with a fourth-quarter pick-six to cap the shutout. 

Nevada State finished with 420 total yards and nine touchdowns in a complete team victory.
